Combined Insurgent
1x Nights of Fire + 1x Days of Ire + 1x Yuri & Noel
Nights of Fire: Battle for Budapest: After the successful uprising of 23rd October 1956, freedom and peace seemed at hand. But the hard earned victory was not to last: On November 3rd 1956 the Soviets arrest the Hungarian delegation negotiating for the country’s sovereignty and order their troops to push towards Budapest. During the early hours of the next morning the city wakes up to sounds of tank and artillery fire. The Soviet counter-attack, codenamed Operation Whirlwind, has begun.
Days of Ire: Budapest 1956: It's 1956 and waves of protests in Poland are once again showing the cracks in the Eastern European communist bloc. Emboldened by these signs, students and intellectuals in Budapest, the Hungarian capital, organise a protest of previously unseen magnitudes. As the communist leadership sweeps in to kill the movement in its tracks, a violent response is provoked, thus sparking the Revolution of the 23rd of October.
